Front door vibration inspired the Morris family of Shawnee to look for an experienced stone and stucco contractor to handle the renovation of their home’s exterior. They needed structural issues to be corrected before replacing their windows, doors, and siding. They also wanted to add a patio and stonework to the façade for a custom look in a cookie-cutter neighborhood. After researching online, they narrowed down their choice to Johnson County Siding & Window.
The family got to work with our designers to create balance and beauty with special attention given to easy maintenance. They decided on a combination of natural Kansas shell stone and James Hardie staggered shingles to update the front of their home. The rest of the house would be wrapped with James Hardie lap siding. Energy-efficient Alliance windows, steel-insulated garage doors, and a ProVia factory-finished front door rounded out the exterior aesthetic changes. They chose to add a stone back patio as well for a private spot for the family to enjoy.
Our crew had to tackle several structural repairs before taking on the exterior makeover, and it all had to come in at a strict budget. We replaced rotting wood and flashing before installing the new exterior materials. Natural stone was also used to create the 10x20 patio space for a defined outdoor space.
The Morris family was excited to be able to get all the updates they wanted within their budget. They are in love with the way their house stands out from the rest, and look forward to relaxing on their new patio.
Locally owned and operated, Johnson County Siding & Window has earned the reputation as a leader in home renovation in the Kansas City area.
