Plenty of people decide to go with stone veneers in Kansas City and for good reason – stone veneers help to add natural beauty and texture to a home that can greatly improve your curb appeal. While many people will focus on deciding on what kind of stone veneer they want to use, we would like to remind you to pay attention to the color of the grout as well! The following are a few tips for choosing the right grout color for your stone facade:
- A sophisticated look – If you want to create a more understated look that has a touch of sophistication to it, match the color of the grout with the dominant color shading in the stone you’ve chosen.
- A dramatic look – If the understated look isn’t for you, maybe you should try going into the opposite direction. To make a visual statement, choose a grout color that is opposite the stone’s color. So for example, if you have a lighter stone facade, go with a darker grout color and vice versa. This really helps to make the stones pop.
- A rustic look – If you’ve decided to use a stone facade that has a variety of earthy colors, both light and dark, then choose a grout color that matches one of the stone’s colors. It will not only compliment that stone but also contrast the colors of the other stones.
- A harmonious look – Another option would be to match the color of the grout to a color used in other elements of the exterior. For example, you could match the color of the shingles or the entry door, thereby creating a more harmonious appearance.
